What a buyer should know

The right idea, presented with almost no evidence

An electric wakesurf boat makes obvious sense. Many of the lakes where surfing is popular — in Austria, southern Germany, Switzerland and northern Italy — restrict or ban combustion engines, and a wake boat is one of the loudest things afloat. A 7 m electric platform aimed squarely at that category could open water that petrol tow boats cannot use.

What a buyer cannot yet assess

Marian publishes no motor output, no battery capacity, no ballast figures and no price for the Evo 700. For most boats that would be an inconvenience; for a wake boat it is disqualifying at the research stage. Surfing demands sustained high load at low speed while carrying substantial ballast, which is the most punishing duty cycle in electric boating, and the only number that matters is how many sets you get between charges. Wake shape, ballast capacity and hull configurability are equally undocumented.

The useful benchmark is Nautique's GS22E, which publishes 124 kWh, 220 kW and an explicit endurance claim of around three hours of typical watersports use. Until Marian releases comparable figures, the Evo 700 belongs on a shortlist as a concept worth enquiring about, not as a boat that can be compared. Ask for battery capacity, ballast volume and a realistic session count first.
