What a buyer should know

The accessible end of the market

The Strana 23 is by far the cheapest boat in this batch and the only one a private buyer might reasonably finance like a car. It is a 23-foot Swedish day boat for six, designed from the outset around electric drive by the Mannerfelt studio — which matters, because a hull shaped for low drag rather than adapted from a petrol model is what makes a modest battery viable. The base configuration pairs a SeaDrive POD with a 20 kWh bank for a 15-knot top speed, and Strana configures motor and battery to the buyer rather than fixing one package.

Reading the specification honestly

A 20 kWh pack is small in absolute terms, and no range figure appears in our record. That gap is significant: on a boat like this, endurance varies enormously between a gentle 5-knot cruise and sustained running near 15 knots, so a single headline number would be misleading anyway. Ask Strana for range at two or three stated speeds in the configuration you are actually buying, and check what a larger pack costs.

The €91,000 price is converted from a SEK 995,000 starting figure and should be re-verified against the current rate and the current Swedish list price before it is treated as firm. Buyers outside Scandinavia should also confirm dealer and service coverage in their own market.

Written from the builder’s published specifications and the wider market, not from testing the boat ourselves. Always confirm figures with the manufacturer before committing.
